Prostitute's Children

Jackie and Hernando Franco have done what a few could do. There mission was to help the unwanted and the neglected. In 2001 they decided to go into the most dangerous of circumstances, and provide love and support as god commanded them. They prayed to god, and were led to help the children of prostitutes and the prostitutes themselves in the city streets, and the river sides of Santo Domingo.

With no funding from the government, and a 100% devotion to there ministry Jackie and Hernando have in there home 38 children that they care for 24 hours day all year round.. The kids range from children of prostitutes who can not tend to the children, children with defects and handicaps. All the support that they receive comes from donations.

Jackie with the help of a Christian Gynecologist has also been trained to administer nursing basic care to help the prostitutes with a variety of vaginal diseases and wounds that they experience from the occupation that they have. What is really important is that they have a committed schedule to visit and talk to them about the lord Jesus Christ along with providing basic medicine that is sometimes donated. Donations like food, and clothing is also distributed when available

The shocking stories is what makes this ministry so difficult. For example, in most cases the children of prostitutes are raped and molested. The prostitutes are also living a life of despair and have to subject themselves to this lifestyle of prostitution, and rape. It is stories like having to prostitute to the local police for free, and being reminded of how worthless they are. Jackie and Hernando are passionately rescuing as many children as they can as they add more children to there ministry, and bringing hope to these women who feel that they have no hope. By bringing the love and hope of our Lord Jesus Christ, they are changing lives, and bringing light where there is darkness.
